Pluto

Pluto has settled in well. He has become firm friends with his roommate Midnight. He loves running round his run and playing with his new friend.

Muffin

Adorable Muffin and addition to our doggie family , with us for over 6 years now! Muffin is in the front with our two 16 yr old boys Basil and Doogie We are grateful for every moment that we have with these beautiful dogs and thank raystede for giving us Muffin. ( she is sometimes nicknamed Mickey as she is so cheeky) !

My Mum Evelyn Kentish

We rehomed our staffyx Lenny in 2010 from Raystede when he six months old. He came to Raystede in a very poorly condition with sore skin and very little hair - he reminded us of a little rhino!! The wonderful staff at Raystede worked hard to get him well. As you can see by the photo of him at the Arlington Reservoir last year his skin is now perfect. He is now 13 and has been the best of dogs and we love him dearly.

The Kennel Team and Volunteers

Adopted Wallis on 5 December 2014 he was only 5 months and had spent most of that time in your loving hands thank goodness, after not a very nice start to his young life. He had as many issues as breeds, Border Collie, Siberian Husky and Alaskan Malamute, so we got three for the price of one. Still very much a live wire, keeps us fit and on our toes, the most loved member of the family.

Zac

My lovely boy Zac has been with me over 4 years now. All through lockdown when nobody was allowed to visit🤔

Finn

Finn has now been with us for 19 months. He is such a character and treasured member of our family.

Candy & Dolly

Candy & Dolly have settled in so well. It was like we were all waiting to meet each other. They have filled a dog shaped space in our home and we all love them to bits.

Emelius

Emelius definitely adopted me in December 2022 and he's been my little shadow ever since. We've helped each other with our anxieties and struggles to trust humans again, but we've both become so much braver around new people. Emelius is the heartbeat my new home needed and I can't thank Raystede enough for bringing us together ♥️

Dice

We adopted Dice in 2020 when he was one. He is just the sweetest boy and is extremely affectionate, always looking for a comfy lap to sit on. He and our son our best friends! Dice has never lived with children but as it turns out, he loves them. He had also never been outside but now enjoys the freedom to roam as he pleases. Thank you so much for letting us adopt him. You all do such amazing work.

The dog homing team at Raystede

This is Suzie - trying to hypnotise me into giving her her supper! I homed her in November 2019; my second JRT from Raystede and 7th oldie rescue. She is nearly 15 now and bosses me around - but has a lovely gentle nature and loves all children. Rehoming older dogs is a complete joy, please don't overlook them.

We adopted major fluffy from you when he was 6 months old in 2014 , He brings us so much pleasure . Major is waiting patiently for his treat . Hes a very homely cat , he does go out to play with his friends but always comes home when called from the garden . He loves sitting with us and usually sits with us every meal time ( no he doesnt get tit bits ) he just likes the company and he sits with us every evening in the lounge .

Roxy

Roxy joined our family 5 years ago and we can’t imagine life without her now. When we got her we were told she couldn’t be rehomed with children under 14years but she is now my daughter (11) best friend. Before we got Roxy she was a stray and we don’t know her back story but she doesn’t have a bad bone in her body and we love her❤️.

Holly

Holly came home with us in early January this year and since then she has become such a massive part of the family. She’s the most affectionate, sweet and curious cat we’ve ever met, she especially loves to spend quality time lounging on her humans. Thank you Raystede for rehoming her with us!!

Keisha (tusha) and Teddy

Keisha and Teddy have now been rehomed for 6+ years they are happy healthy and now have a human baby sister Amarii now 3

Rosie

Rosie the cat has been with me four years now, couldn’t imagine life without her now!

Raystede

Our big fluffy boy came home with us in March of this year. He is the most affectionate and loving cat we have ever had. He was nervous initially but with patience and love he has settled in and now he’s the boss! We all adore him!

Molly

Molly came home with us in October, but if feels like she's been part of the family for ages. She is the friendliest, most affectionate girl, and she's loving her new life with us, racing around the house like a loony, curling up in her favourite spots (including laps) and asking for strokes and attention. She's just getting the hang of going outside, but isn't too keen on the recent bad weather. She's a big part of the family already and we all love her loads.

Bilbo

We received an email from the Kennels with photos of a stray, skinny dog that had a few scars with sad eyes, we fell for him! Bilbo was afraid but with love, care and lots of food he came out of his shell and accepted the love we were giving him. He has turned into a fantastic companion and is loving his new baby sister (who gives him food!) It is very hard to tear him away from his favourite spot, which is in front of the fire, he also enjoys running about with his friends at our park.

Wendy and Tink

Thank you Raystede for rehoming Wendy and Tink with me. After a horrible start for them, being left in a taped up cardboard box before Storm Eunice, they have settled into their new home perfectly and love squeaking at any bag rustling! They feel like they have always been part of the heard. :)
